Yes, to me being hesitant is a positive. Unfortunately that doesn't work for the production time line, but it's much better for real life than Chock's insta-love. |
DP The last several salons I've been to have had zero male employees. So although I can see Pascal preferring to have female employees I don't know that it's intentional. |
I saw at least one guy in the background. |
So excited for Nancy to return next episode! |
The contrast between the visit with Guy and then Pascal was huge! She seemed guarded and uncomfortable around Guy. She seemed thrilled by everything and everyone on Pascal's world. It's the only time she's showed some energy and enthusiasm. She smiled more than we've ever seen. Even though Chock is all over her, I think she likes Pascal more. I thought the family event with Chock was an odd choice and we didn't get to see where he lives.

He is hot. He is youthful and seems nice. I'm the same age and he's the most attractive to me. I think Guy is attractive too and his family seemed very nice. But I think she wants more drama. She likes Pascal but is insecure around hiim. She kept comparing him to her late husband. When she did, it made sense to me. She's an introvert who needs an extrovert. Her husband brought the drama with his crimes and maybe a lot of other things before that. She lacks energy and a guy with a big personality brings her to life. I think she likes Chock but not as much as Pascal but not sure she will pick him. Anyway, sounds like something goes wrong with one of them in the next episode. |
It is kinda boring because she tools about her late husband all the time and because she fell so hard for Chock in the beginning. I think she could have just wrapped it up early, saying she was going for Chock. It feels forced with the others at this point. |
Yes, next episode should be good. |
It seems like most of the home town visits are at someone else's house or a neutral location? |
🚩TRO Guy🚩 In addition to his many creepy qualities we’ve already discussed, he and his sisters just seem constipated and boring. Joan is basic but thinks she’s not. Guy got a rose because he’s telling her what she wants to hear, albeit less successfully than Chock. But then Chock is a professional.
Jordan He seems to be such a genuine and kind person. I think he wants something deep and Joan is not that. I wonder if he held back even more hoping she would cut him. Jordan is also the only non-griever left. He had a rough split and is gunshy, but he’s not longing for a lost love. GL Jordan, you’re too good for Joan. Chock CAN WE TALK ABOUT WHOLE LIFE BOY DO I HAVE A PRODUCT FOR YOU! I’ve never liked him, never liked his salesman vibe, and have always been suspicious that he’s really not a nice person. I think his behavior on the group dates shows that he’s a selfish prick and fixated on winning. You can show/tell Joan how you feel and still play fair. I thought having the celebration of life with Joan was weird AF. One daughter was so overwhelmed in tears she couldn’t speak. Mr. FamilyIsEverything remained glued to Joan. And that’s the footage they could use. There’s meeting the family in as authentic a way as possible on a fake reality show, and there’s being incredibly intrusive. But Chock knows how to sell, and he is speaking Joan’s language. I suspect in real life, everything revolves around Chock, and I doubt Joan wants that. I mean, who would? PascalOnce again, the more I get to know him, the more I like him. First, we have another mention that he’s the most popular guy in the house, that’s a good sign. His family was open, fun, close. I loved the way he interacted with his young grandson. He’s engaged with his family and has obviously put in the effort to have strong relationships. He’s ready to have fun, and it’s not a bad thing that he’s honest about having a broken heart that’s still healing. Joan wants it both ways. The man has to accept that her first husband will always have first place but she can’t hear that someone has some anxiety about getting hurt. Maybe he’s the next GB. I’d watch. Finally, the real star of the show That Preview. Does someone actually reject Joan? What kind of emotional distress is going on that has Pascal trying to protect Joan from the cameras? More juice in the preview than the episode! |
Jordan is the best and too good for Joan. Chock is a phony fake creep. There is NO way Pascal genuinely is attracted to Joan, aside from the thinness. Her hair is really terrible and of course he knows it, plus she's bland. He's there for salon publicity and a fun time on tv. |
Spot on regarding Pascal. He’s having fun and looking for publicity. I honestly think she’s not really into any of them either. But she feels like she has to come through for the show. Whoever she winds up with - it won’t last for long. |
Will be interesting to see Nancy and Joan in the same show. I always wanted Nancy as Golden Bachelorette. She seemed to be the prettiest one -- in a natural way. That aside, I see Joan going with Chock and it lasting under a year. They will put out a statement saying they have mutually agreed to end their relationship due to the fact that they both love their families and each one wants to be near their families for the milestones, etc. , etc. Joan was on Viall Files this week and she said several times that she grew up in Maryland, all of her kids are in Md (except on in PA -- which is close enough), and she is NOT leaving Maryland. So, Chock, how do you feel about moving to Maryland??? The thing is, Chock is only 60! He's actually younger than Joan. He has a successful insurance business -- which is based on networking and knowing people. He can "work from Maryland" off and on, but he needs to be in Kansas for his business. He's surely too young to retire. Insurance is the kind of business that you can do until you're 70. So, he's not going to drop his business. And his kids are pretty young (as adults). He will want to be near them to be part of their lives. Chock is coming in hot and heavy, and it'll last longer than Gerry and Teresa. But, I think it has a 12 month expiration date -- when they get tired of trying to make it work long distance and Chock realizes he doesn't want to move to Md. Also, Pascal is 69. I don't know if a person who is 61, like Joan, wants to hitch her wagon to someone who is that much older. When you are in your 30s, an 8 yr gap is no big deal b/c you are pretty much in the same phase professionally. But, at 61, you would have to REALLY, REALLY like the guy to sign up to be his nurse. Sure, Pascal is in good shape, but still, he's almost 70. Why wouldn't Joan pick someone younger if she had the option. Also, the location thing with Pascal is a deal-breaker in the end. Pascal's whole life/business is in Chicago. Joan has been ABUNDANTLY clear that she is 100% NOT leaving Maryland. So... that's not going to change and can't be resolved unless Pascal sells his business and fully retires... which I don't see him doing. Joan wants someone who prioritizes their own family -- which is a great trait -- but a man who loves his family as much as she loves hers is going to have to be located on the East Coast if it is ever going to work out long term. None of her final 4 guys had a family on the East Coast. Fatal flaw. Joan will have a nice ending. They'll give it a try for most of the next year. By next summer, they will decide that they have to go their separate ways. Joan gave the franchise what they expected. It won't be an embarasment like G &T. And our attention will turn to whoever is picked to be the 2nd Golden Bach. |
Guy and Pascal have really grown on me. Jordan is nice and youthful but it feels like he belongs on a different show. Chock’s macho bs is off putting but his family is lovely. Joan is obviously into him the most by far. Meh. |
When there's no clear "winner" and the bachelor/bachelorette don't really want to pick anyone, do the producers tell them who to pick and they fake a relationship until enough time passes and they can publicly end it? |
