Why are DC Council Members not obligated to follow parking regulations? Can't DC residents have a say in changing this? |

What problem? I don't see a problem.
In seriousness, it dates from the early days of home rule. Congress long ago exempted itself from parking regulations in DC. When DC got home rule the Council gave itself the same privileges congressmen enjoyed as a political statement. Most councilmembers display a little bit of shame. Evans has a history of just leaving his car wherever is most convenient for him with no regard for the impact on others. |
| someone needs to run against that man. he's long lost touch with reality. (shall we start a "who will run against Jack Evans thread?") |
| And that's a $250 ticket! |
|
I've seen him parked the EXACT same way at the corner of 7th and F on wizard game nights. And he's done it for YEARS. Parks right IN the crosswalk.
I give him frugality points tho. He's been driving that Sebring convertible for at least 15 years. |

Power privilege.
Why do we keep electing arrogant a-holes like this in D.C.? |
| This will never be elevated to a main stream media platform because it doesn't fit the narrative. If Evans had an "R" behind his name, there would be calls for his resignation. |
| Every year, someone posts a photo of Jack Evans parking like an asshole, and every four years he's re-elected in a landslide. Not sure what these posts intend to accomplish. |
| That's because he typically runs unopposed. I lived in his ward and would have been happy to have had an alternative. |
You're right! Let's elect a republican instead! That'll fix it!
