| Anyone watch the first episode last night? It was so good! I felt bad when they fired their manager, he was a victim too. But I get it, they needed someone that knew hat he was doing. I saw an interview and they said that to this day they have still never received any royalties from the Candy Girl era, the record company went out of business shortly after so here was no one for them to sue. So many artists were taken advantage of back in the day. |

I watched! This is like a sneak peak into my favorite childhood group. Casting is phenomenal.
I'd say more times than not artists back then were taken advantage of. That it still happens is crazy. Cannot wait for tonight's episode! |
| I missed it but didn't realize it was a 2 parter, I'll be watching tonight. |
| I recorded it. Can't wait! |
3! |
|
Love New Edition. Ronnie Bobby Ricky and Mike
Johnny and Bobby too!!!! |
| Does anyone know if it is available on demand? I'm out of the country and dying to watch this over the weekend when I am back. |
3 parts?!?!
Oh I will not miss this |
You can stream it on bet.com. http://www.bet.com/video/the-new-edition-story/2017/full-episodes/part-one.html |
It's so good, you will not be disappointed! I'm counting down the minutes to part 2. |
|
I love the storyline in itself.
Talented, bright boys from the housing projects discovered & fame and fortune ensued. I grew up in the New Edition era + can still remember how popular their music was while I was in high school. |
| I caught part 2 last night and I was VERY impressed overall. I usually find original Lifetime/VH1/MTV/BET programming to be low-quality but BET clearly put a lot of time, effort and $$ into this production. Looking forward to part 3! |
| By far the best biopic on to that I've seen so far. And I'm a huge fan of the Jackson one. |
| I've been jamming to New Edition all day in my office! I can't stop dancing in my seat...thank goodness for apps like Pandora, Soundcloud and Mixcloud! |
u and a whole lot of folks i bet. i echo the PP's post that is is the best biopic i've seen in a looooong time. and of course the twitter accompaniment did not disappoint either!
