| I'm in my 20s and haven't recently become friends with two mom friends both are over 40. I've noticed they tend to communicate by email. I tend not to check my email very often when I'm not at work and would rather text. For those 35+ do you text back and forth with your friends? |
| Yes. I'm 39 and communicate with my friends mostly via text. I text one friend or another pretty much daily, for the most part. |
+1 I'm 39 as well and it's the same thing, including with a couple of friends I have who are in their 50's. |
| Yes, always text. |
| I'm over 40 and I hate to text. Annoying keyboard, and stilted sentences. Texting is for "I'm here, where are you?" type of messages. I also check my email way more than I check my phone. My phone lives in my purse, so if you texted me, I might not see it for a day or so. |
+1. And I'm a bigger fan of actually using the phone to talk. |
| 34 and text almost exclusively, aside from scheduled phone dates. Never email. |
Same here. 40-something. |
This is me. I prefer email as you can respond when you can. If I get a text I feel like I have to answer immediately. My phone stays in my purse and if I don't go out a few days I miss it. |
| Mostly email for making plans because I am checking my email constantly. I am in my 40s and I find this is fairly common among my friends. Texting only for running late and those kind of messages. |
|
My friends and I are early 40s and yes, we text.
If it's a group and we're making plans, we tend to email. But one on one plans, we will often text. And lots of conversational texting. |
| I've just turned 40 and rarely email. Mostly text. |
| no. |
| I like email... |
| I either text or send a message via facebook. I don't even know if I have any email addresses for my friends. |
