Democrats hope to portray Republican Senate candidates in some of the most competitive midterm races as too far outside the mainstream. For now, it seems to be working.

With any luck the Dems will capture enough of a lead in the Senate to disarm the saboteurs like Manchin and Sinema and make them completely irrelevant. I think this may also be the political end of Sinema in the long term as she is much more easily replaced than Manchin.

Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan’s (Ohio) Senate campaign announced on Friday it raked in a whopping $9.1 million during the second quarter of the year.

Ryan’s second-quarter haul is more than double the size of his $4.1 million first-quarter fundraising haul. The campaign said Ryan brought in nearly 90,000 new donors during the second quarter, with contributions averaging $37.49 per donor. Additionally, the campaign said that 97 percent of donations were $100 or less.

The Democrat’s latest fundraising haul appears to demonstrate his grassroots fundraising strength ahead of what is expected to be a tough battle against Republican nominee J.D. Vance, who has not yet released his second-quarter fundraising figures.

JD’s probably getting all his funding from Russia and dark money.

Agreed, Sinema needs to go. Manchin is a best case scenario in WVA, he is way better then any republicans would be, and I hope he keeps winning until he 100 years old.

Gallego would be great!

I could see possibly see that some of Sinema's game is based in genuine belief about bipartisanship but that cutesy thumbs down was revolting. Buh bye bish.

I like Gallego too, but as an Arizonan, I'm worried he's not kooky enough to carry Arizona. My Arizona relatives like Sinema -- they like that she is a maverick and keeping everyone off guard or something. Remember, this is the same state that kept electing McCain. (And, God help us, Evan Meacham and Sheriff Joe.) Plus going to Harvard is like a negative thing for most of Arizona. To borrow a DCUMism...bless their hearts.

Wait, you think Herschel Walker, who is polling 9 points down to Warnock, is going to flip the seat?
And Mark Kelly is VERY popular and is wildly out raising the republican in AZ.
Colorado and Nevada will turn on getting out the vote in the big cities (Denver, Boulder and Las Vegas) and suburbs. Given abortion, guns and 1/6, I am not seeing that happening.

+1 After the Roe decision I’m less worried about Nevada. It’s purple but VERY pro-choice.

I was just summarizing the CNN article. You can tell their political analysts you know better. I would like to believe Georgians had enough of the crazy with Trump and won’t elect Herschel Walker but I never underestimate how polling can be wrong in a midterm year with low turnout particularly months away from the election.

Snooki hits Oz over Pennsylvania residency in new video for Fetterman: ‘Jersey will not forget you’

https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/3560046-snooki-hits-oz-over-pennsylvania-residency-in-new-ad-for-fetterman-jersey-will-not-forget-you/amp/

Former “Jersey Shore” cast member Nicole “Snooki” LaValle is starring in a new campaign video for Democratic Pennsylvania Senate hopeful John Fetterman that highlights questions about Republican candidate Mehmet Oz’s ties to the Garden State.

“Hey, Mehmet! This is Nicole — Snooki,” LaValle says into the camera in the video, released Thursday.

I’m a hot mess on a reality show, basically, and I enjoy life,” the 34-year-old former MTV star adds.

“I heard that you moved from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to look for a new job, and personally, I don’t know why anyone would want to leave Jersey, because it’s like the best place ever, and we’re all hot messes,” LaValle tells the former “Dr. Oz” host.

“But I want to say best of luck to you. I know you’re away from home and you’re in a new place, but Jersey will not forget you. I just want to let you know, I will not forget you,” LaValle says in a mocking tone.
