Pardon the ignorance, is VDA not an amalgamation of PWSI and VSA? All owned by the same Asian who runs HP elite? When or how was Herndon in this VDA equation? Just trying to understand which scam will fleece me the least for the best options for my players. Thanks!

Pardon the ignorance, is VDA not an amalgamation of PWSI and VSA? All owned by the same Asian who runs HP elite? When or how was Herndon in this VDA equation? Just trying to understand which scam will fleece me the least for the best options for my players. Thanks!

Yes, they are a combo of PWSI and VSA. The ED of PWSI is Quan - I assume that's how you are referring to as the asian - he is also part of HP Elite. Herndon had some agreement with VSA at some point for their boys teams to play RL b/c VSA was struggling on that side and maybe there was even a girls team or 2 that HYS had playing. It was supposed to benefit HYS by giving them a pathway to VDA but those pathways are kinda silly from my perspective as it didn't really benefit HYS - some of their players when to VDA but they probably would have anyway if they were that good? That was the issue GFR had with NVA - they took a few good players from GFR but that's really it.

ECNL is applying pressure. They are losing their grip on the DMV area. This would be a win for them and give them a needed shot in the arm. Especially given that FVU may not survive past this year.

Herndon only went to VDA to give specific 2006 Boys a pathway to play ECNL while in high school. Once they graduated, there was no need to stay.

It does, actually. GFR has field permits for fields close to the beltway off G'town Pike and if you think parents in GF and McLean aren't willing to drive into Bethesda to play ECNL you're nuts - it's no further than Arlington or VDA would be.
