Things you won't wear/buy because they become too popular

Anonymous
Mostly don’t worry about this and don’t chase the trends. I did see a pair of Tory Burch shoes that I was thinking about because they looked comfy and then I saw one of the threads on here indicating that TB is sort of a “thing” with a set of women so I decided to pass. But usually I just buy what I want!

I just can't bring myself to spend that much money on glorified Chucks. I'll stick to the real thing, tried and true, thankyouverymuch.

Plus they look GROSS. Maybe it's because of the fact that I grew up in a.neighborhood where you kept your kicks looking out of the box new by any means necessary, but I can't imagine paying for busted kicks. I have plenty of distressed older boots etc but not sneakers

I tend to stay away from brands that have visible logos. Like Northface (does everyone in the dc area have a Northface jacket?) I don't want to pay to advertise a brand.

No one does this anymore. Boots over jeans is such an ugly look.

I still do this. Whatever.

Same here. It’s not my daily look but works great with some outfits.
