Turns out working costs me a lot...

Mostly aftercare - used to be the biggest expense.

my workplace garage is still charging us 80/mo. If we stop it we are not guaranteed to have a space after. So annoying.

other than that, I am saving 1.5 hours a day of aggravation/commute, about 30$ week in random lunches/coffees, 10$/week in gas, and probably 200/month in babysitting to cover evenings I have an event/work late. I guess dry cleaning as well.

Our expenses increased. One son, who graduated in December, at home and eating. He has a job and WFH or goes into office if he has to use the lab (engineer). One son still in college and home and eating and takes g-d awfully long showers. DH still working at office- so cost of his commute isn’t down- but it dropped 1/3 which is nice. We are still getting take out 2x a week to support our local restaurants. We are still paying every other week housekeeper. I guess, my lunches out with friends has decreased, but not as much as the two more mouths to feed has increased our spending. We never used dry cleaning more than once or twice a year. I WFH normally. We increased our data package.
