Tax break didn't provide enough money to go to one?

Original PP here. I didn't actually get much of a tax break. I have high SALT amounts, which off-set the reduction in marginal rate. Part of me really wants to experience the ability to cheer loudly for Trump without fear of physical harm.

+100

I'd like my kids to be able to go to school without fear of being shot and having to practice lockdowns, but we can't all get what we want.

I'm sorry you didn't get your tax break like the very wealthy did. Perhaps you should go to a Trump rally and ask Trump why the very rich, himself included, got a huge tax break and you didn't.

Are you justifying that it's okay to make Trump supporters like me be fearful for our physical safety? I want the best for my kids as well, but I don't find it necessary to physically threaten/attack someone who hold different political ideas than me. I hope you don't pass on your violent nature to your kids.

With regards to taxes - it's okay, I know that people who make more than me with a similar balance of income source is paying a higher rate. I am grateful for the opportunities that this country has provided me, and am proud to be among the taxpayers that pay more into the system than what we consume out of it. This is what I teach my kids, that civilization only moves forward when we contribute more to society than what we get in return. The excess value is what improves other people's lives beyond their current circumstances.

Snowflake.

What demographic trends? Do liberals actually have kids? If anything as soon as we halt the illegals, you are doomed demographically

DP.. demographic trends of white people have less children, and there being more immigrants, legal ones, who are also not white. Pay attention.

In 2016, more non-Hispanic whites died than were born in twenty-six states; more than at any time in U.S. history.

I'd rather my kids not have to worry about school shootings. Are you saying that owning assault rifles and having loopholes in our gun checks justifies our children having to be afraid of school shootings and having to practice lockdown drills? That's the logic you used assuming that I think violence against Trumpsters are justified.

LOL.. at the bolded. No R/Trumpster has ever stated they are proud to pay more into the system than what they consume; they hate taxes. You have to be a troll.

You want the experience of saluting your fuhrur without fear of being ridiculed by thinking people.

The problem with attempting to use race to draw a statistical forecast is that race is a social construct and not a scientific one. Based on this chart, children of white and non white parents are labeled non white. Racial identification is a voluntary act. In addition, during the last election, more non white voters voted republican than in the previous two elections.

Why don’t you think it’s blue now? You don’t like math and facts?

I'm a D so no need to get all testy. I hope it is blue but the reality is that there is a lot of red in VA. You would be arrogant to think you have it sewn up. It isn't as purple as NC but it is not bright blue.

1 mile so or west of Tyson’s corner and plenty of Trump supporters. Don’t have anything for granted.

Yep. I realize VA is purple/blue, but there are definitely lots of Trump supporters here. We live in FxCo.

Also live in FFX county and I wouldn't say there are "lots" of Trump supporters, but it's the closeted ones that worry me.

Not advertising our political affiliation doesn’t make us “closeted,” it makes us private. Trump voters - and Republicans in general - don’t feel the need to pontificate and lecture others, the way liberals so clearly do.

You can't be serious. Republicans lecture others on everything from who they can sleep with to when they can reproduce.

*THANK YOU*, for so perfectly illustrating why I don't feel safe being vocal about my support for Trump. It's because there are people like you, who fancy yourselves to be in the membership of "thinking people", who also believes that physical harm is the same as ridicule.

Er, since when does ridicule = physical harm? Who is a thinking person?

The only way it’s in play is if there’s vote tampering involved.

Most of the country hates this guy. His cult base is his cult base but it’s not growing, they're dying off. If he “wins” WI, PA and MI plus Virginia? It’ll be more proof he never won in the first place.

It’s astounding that you actually believe Trump voters are “dying off”. I get that it’s wishful thinking on your part, but I’m sorry to report that we’re nowhere near dying off.

In which state has Trump gained supporters since 2016?

Alabama? lol

Ask Roy Moore. LOL

These PPs were joking, but even in Alabama, Trump’s approval rating is down 12 points since he took office:
https://morningconsult.com/tracking-trump-2/
And there were almost 8% more votes for Congressional Democrats in the 2018 elections than in 2016:

Not to mention that Doug Jones fella winning.

+1 good thing it's based on majority vote, unlike the electoral college.

Those blue pockets are the most densely-populated areas of the state. Numbers matter!

I am hoping the purple results of the last election cycle in Virginia was nothing more than a mild case of voter indigestion or a momentary lapse of reason.

Lol. No. Again, ask Comstock if Trump will win.

The GOP and the NRCC spent so much on her race I’m not even sure they realize yet that she lost.

You do know that those you deem “criminals” can still vote, right? That wasn’t a one off. And Virginia wasn’t purple in 2016, it was blue.

For a good bellwether on where Virginia will be in 2020, meet you here seven weeks from tomorrow.

Trump shut down the government for five weeks. People in NoVA, Norfolks/Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach, and Richmond are going to remember that. I don't think Virginia is in play.
