Heard rumor that Arlington is leaving DA to go to ECNL. It is almost a done deal.

Interesting. I have heard exact opposite. That Arlington wants nothing to do with ECNL boys or girls.

Arlington was just awarded full girls DA for next year so no way are they moving to ECNL.

Did you hear this from a credible source? Just for girls?

If the girls program stays in DA next year they would presumably be a second tier team?

Would make sense if their goal is to play Loudoun, BRYC, Mclean, VDA.

Then they have ECNL options (McLean, BRYC, VDA, Bethesda, MD United). The DA isn't for everyone.

Arlington also has announced they wont be announcing coaches for next year until mid May. It would be a lot easier if they did not have to find so many qualified DA coaches for next year.

A couple of years ago no one would have believed that Loudoun would join ECNL either!

They only joined ECNL because they were turned down for DA and the FCV partnership fiasco. They would be all in DA, given the chance. They just weren't.

LOL you are absolutely insane if you think that.

They wanted DA and couldn't get it. They settled for ECNL because they needed an elite platform. They were dumped from boys DA this year due to the u12 age group drop and were forced into "all-in" ECNL.
