Are you unaware that Fox is a highly politicized propaganda machine for conservative/republican issues? Anti-dem, anti-Obama, etc.?

Oh, OP--I listened to you on NPR. I am so sorry for your pain and for all you have been through. You are my hero for pushing through that pain to try to spare others. Bless you, and your husband, who has also been through so much.

Crawl back under your rock, Virginia, and let us carry on here.

Thank you, OP, for what you are doing. As hard as it must be on a daily basis, it's so important and there are so many of us who are grateful.

And the grocery store tabloids have a higher circulation than legitimate newspapers, and more Americans believe in angels than evolution, and the View is more popular than Meet the Press, and more people eat at McDonalds than purchase locally grown vegetables and cook them for their families, and Lady Gaga sells records. Popularity does not equal legitimacy or quality.

Good for you OP - the NPR coverage was heartbreaking. It takes real guts to come forward with such a story, and speak up for what you believe in. I'm standing up and cheering for you on behalf of all the women you're helping.

I just don't understand how federal law can constitutionally prohibit LEGAL medical procedures like this, that are specific to one sex. The pro-life/pro-choice debate aside, the law is simply discriminatory. Plus, though tax dollars pay for part of the premium, as they also do in state jobs like police, teachers, etc that aren't subject to this law, personal, private dollars pay for the rest. So you are forced to use your own money to pay for limited coverage. Terrible.

I take it you will not be accessing Medicare when you are older?

Or taking advantage of the H1N1 vaccine, (paid for by the federal government?)

No, and no.

I think Gov involvement with healthcare has caused and stands to cause massive, massive problems. Just like govt involvement with a whole host of other "amenities."

So 11:12 PP you're going to keep your job until you're 90? Or pay the premium for a 90 year old on the independent market? I'm self employed, with independent insurance, and believe me, those premiums aren't pretty for a 35 year old. For a retiree they would be astronomical.

Or are you on military - in other words, GOVERNMENT - healthcare?

If you plan to be on some sort of retiree plan, you better pray it's still around when you're old.

and more democrats watch foxnews than CNN or MSNBC. amazing how partisan this board is ...

I think of you often OP. I tell the women I know about your story because none of us were aware of the problem. You are brave and I appreciate you speaking up for women's rights.

OP

Thank you for being my voice on this issue. Stay strong.

OP here. Thanks for your support and thanks for passing the story along. Part of my motivation is publicity so other women will know of the issue. Most of the feds that I've spoken to are completely unaware that if something is wrong with their baby during pregnancy that they are not covered if they have to terminate. Many people, even some I've read on the board put my situation in a different category than that of an elective abortion, which is also part of my fight.

Go OP! Stay strong, and good luck. Thanks from all of us.

You are amazing! How did you have the time and resources to hire your own police force and firefighters, arrange private trash pick-up, set up your own school system, regulate your own airline industry, create your own food safety board, and develop and test your own vaccines?

Oh, wait; maybe your kids go to private school. Still--wow!

I'm a dem and I visit fox news each day for the same reason I read Anne Coulter - for my daily gasp and a head shaking, "unbelievable". It's a guilty pleasure, they are sooooo bad....
