Except she did not do that.

No she didn't. If you believe otherwise, show some evidence to support your position.

There is no evidence that Warren ever "checked a box" on an application for "American Indian" or anything other than "white". Do you people even bother to read the thread, let alone the multiple articles describing the facts.

Somehow, she got credited with being a minority in a legal directory. It appears that she chose to do this. Interesting that she did this later in her career--but before her Harvard hire.

My understanding is she did, in an effort to meet others with tribal roots. Much like Elizabeth Warren, my family too spoke of some ancient ancestors that were part of the Seneca nation. But I never in a million years would pass myself off as Native American. That 's offensive to the Native Americans. I think she did try to pass herself off, but not sure she did it with ill intent.

LOL!

Trashy Trump is turning our whole political process into garbage. Worse, his self-obsession and his conviction that his "common-sense" overrides the Constitution are indications that his presidency might have more in common with leaders like Peron, Marcos, Franco, and Mussolini than with any of our prior presidents.

My understanding has been that there has been no way to verify any ancestry through written records etc., there is some indication at times she might have listed it, but if she wanted to prove her families verbal record correct pay the 100 dollars and get tested.

Yes, it's like a white guy calling Oprah "Aunt Jemima."

Regardless of anything Elizabeth Warren has done, using the term 'Pocahontas' as a derogatory term for anyone is generally super racist.

Harvard probably listed a lily white lady as a native minority just for kicks and giggles then

Yes, do you have evidence otherwise? More importantly, can you point to a single application on which Warren described herself as anything other than white?

Not believing the “family lore,” I mean lie.

Lots of people have family traditions of Native American ancestry, and do not have documentary proof. That does not mean they are lying.

Total tangent here--on 23andMe, there are boards devoted to this (not to E. Warren, but to this issue). Apparently, tons of people believe they have a Native American ancestor, but they get their genetic results, and they do not. It's some weird epidemic and I have no theory as to why this is..

Or calling a black person "Uncle Tom"? Oh wait, that was a thing...

Those DNA tests are notoriously inaccurate.
