More crime… when will the attacks stop? Everyday - on metro, everywhere same type of attacks -

Have the guys who attacked the GDS kid even been arrested?

Do you have any leads to share with detectives or just pearl clutching?

I don't wear pearls, and there's no clutching. I am a citizen asking whether or not our police are doing a sufficient job protecting people in DC. Oh, and I was a rimjb defense attorney for over 15 years before transitioning to another area of law. No pearls, just too much exertion exerts criminals and the expansion of unchecked criminal conduct.

That was intended to read "criminal defense attorney" and got garbled by my phones dictation function. More importantly, I don't work for you and do not need to report back to you. I well know the resources available, and I am an active community member on these types of issues. Your condescension in dismissing the previous poster's concern as pearl clutching was of obnoxious and only detracts from the sad facts on the ground.

You seem to have a higher tolerance for laziness than I. Several suspects allegedly connected to a knife-point robbery were apprehended at WHS yesterday afternoon. Maybe they were responsible for other assaults, maybe not. I seem to recall that one adult was arrested for one of the Tenleytown incidents. I'm sure the detectives are working the case and will make whatever statement is warranted. Either way, perhaps the Politics forum of DCUM isn't the best place to obtain accurate information relating a robbery which did not result in serious injury. NW isn't Mayberry.

Yes but there are parts of NWDC that have always had very low crime. Whether you like it or not or think that we should all "share" the crime, not sure, but this is not normal for us - especially the GDS student being attacked in broad daylight and the numerous attacks around Tenley.

Sure doesn't seem that way. Seems they are more focused on "oh, cut him a break, give him a second chance and a third chance and a fourth chance" and "oh, he's a minor so we should go easy" on even the most blatantly vicious attacks happening on DC's streets.

Look, we don't give a shit about the kid busted for smoking a blunt. We care about the teens who assault people in packs at metro stops, we care about the packs of teens who rob stores as flash mobs, the fact that kids are undeterred and in fact emboldened because they've seen so many others do it and get away with it.
