I agree...this thread does not belong here. You don't see threads about football, basketball, baseball, etc. This forum is to discuss schools, not sports.

When it comes to lacrosse, the twin topics of the sport and the independent schools are intertwined. Especially in the IAC. Sad but true.

This is not a thread about schools or education. It is about lacrosse, and it belongs in sports just like the other lacrosse thread. Maybe Jeff will move this one too.

That is changing. I hope sooner rather than later. Lacrosse club team + private school = Doucebag Dads

No. They don't have the talent to compare to those two other clubs, and they play much lesser competition in lesser tournaments. If your son is a serious player (no matter what age), you should have him tryout for a different club. The best Cavalier players always seem the leave the following year to one of those two clubs. I think most of those kids go to VLC which seems to have a higher percentage of Loudoun kids. VLC also practices closer to Loudoun than does Madlax.

Above is obnoxious. However, I will note that the Private School forum had something like a 50-page thread on the Beauvoir Cotillion. So a thread of private school lacrosse doesn't seem out of whack (low barriers to entry).

What are the chances of making VLC/Madlax if my DC made the Cavs orange team? The Cavs will be playing in the AA division.

It depends on the grade, which you didn't mention. And when you say AA, are you referring to the HoCo league?

My son is on the number 1 team on this list, thank you very much. I still think these threads get totally off topic about schools. The last one did. It's ridiculous.
