Guessing there isn't much in those emails since Clinton's campaign has urged State to release them all, immediately. Or maybe it's a bluff and we will learn she was being blackmailed by the Russians! |
I work in government IT. Systems are audited and required to be backed up and records take of transactions. Those agencies with more sensitive information have more stringent requirements. Most follow DoD guidelines though as they're pretty well documented and available. They and NIST set the standards truth be told and they work with vendors like Microsoft to secure their products for our environments. That being said, I can't think of any other reason why one would use their own server other than to skirt the auditing process to leave themselves fre of their actions. My guess is she thought the FBI wouldn't be able to track her actions. The fact she told employees to simply unmark classified information shows she thinks she's above the law |
1. Clinton camp is pushing for ALL emails to be released...maybe a bluff, but highly doubtful there's any Benghazi smoking guns. 2. Won't the emails be released eventually under freedom of information act once Obama leaves office? |
Ahh yes, as I suspected, you talk big but back down when it comes time to prove your conviction. And now you've got this convenient fiction -- Obama's blocking the indictment! -- you will hide behind when you're proven wrong again. What happened to your claim that James Comey, the Republican head of the FBI, will make the honest choice or resign in protest? How about this to make it easier for you?: If Comey resigns in protest in 2016, I'll declare you the winner. Do we have a bet then? I'm guessing you both will slink away again because you're just peddling lies and fairy tales. Put up or shut up. |

+1. Good grief, this is tiresome. |
Of course her campaign has said this because.... SHE HAS NO AUTHORITY TO RELEASE THEM. It’s a total bluff...... But, you know who does have the authority to release them? Obama. Let’s see if he decides that the information there is not so top secret. My bet is that he will not release them. They are too damaging. |
Pleae, it's not irrelevant that this has been a relatively common practice which was indisputably widespread among senior Bush administration who not only used insecure servers, they also destroyed millions of emails. The hypocrisy of conservatives apparently knows no bounds. |
Ahh, a follower of Obama's Leadership School: Always blame Bush! |
In this case, actually no. Reread the quoted posts and you'll see that PPs are not blaming Bush. |
Actually from the FBI's perspective this is not the issue. The issue is whether or not Clinton is possible subject to blackmail in the past, now or future. That's why you never lie on the FBI clearance forms. They don't care if you smoked marijuana. They just want to know where and when so when you are in a position of power your can't be blackmailed. Hillary made a catastrophic choice by using her unsecured email. Everyone in government knows the rules about handling top secret materials. She knew what she was doing. And we now know that some of those emails were picked up by enemy countries and those giving contributions to the Clinton Foundation. This is also why the FBI made such a big deal about homosexuality (yeah yeah we all know about Hoover) - it was not the fact you were a homosexual, it was that you could be blackmailed by an enemy of the state. That's the issue for the FBI and CIA. |
Oh, please, again, this has been a widespread issue in previous administrations. Seemingly no worries about blackmail there. The partisan hacks have to get a little more creative. . but guess the people who have been focusing on Benghazi for the past seven years are the brightest. |
Yep, nothing to see here. Move along. No scandal. Nope, not at all. After all, my last name is “Clinton." |

Not blaming Bush, but an "alternative" private account email system was well used in the Bush White House. |
