Donald Trump Questions Whether Arizona Senator John McCain Should Be Considered a War Hero

I am waiting for ol'Jeb to tip-toe around this one. Perhaps the GOP famous "I wouldn't have said it that way" or "Perhaps he misspoke". No one has the balls to confront that ego-maniacal Trump.

He had a terrible record as an aviator and should never have been one except for the strings daddy pulled.

Do you feel the same way about our 43rd president?

43 may have been a better pilot- I am not aware that he ever crashed a star fighter whereas at least one of mccains "kills" was his own plane on a carrier flight deck.

When he decided he felt like reporting for duty?

43 never flew combat and never had to land on a carrier.... For those two reasons alone I seriously doubt he was ever a better pilot than McCain...

I'd like to see Obama have the GSA yank Trump's lease on the Old Post Office Hotel project. It's shameful what Trump said about McCain and, by extension, over POWs. (Trump, of course, avoided service in Vietnam).

Obama should say that, while it's true that Trump may have a constitutional right to speak freely, there is no constitutional right for an unhinged kook to be in a business partnership with the US taxpayers.

Trump runs around pretending he's this great business mogul. Much of his real estate portfolio was inherited, and -- for someone who says he wants limited government -- so many of his projects, from offices to condos to casinos -- depended on securing favorable financing assistance and tax treatment from state and local governments.

I am honestly embarrassed for our country that we have a pig-man like Trump being seen as a viable candidate for President.

I love the way McCain can call trump supporters "crazies" without a peep but when trump tells him off its so terrible!!!

I think Trump just jumped the shark with his comments. It is, however, free speech and I believe in that. Also, you really want to stop a project that is bringing jobs with it?

Can you not see that one is a personal attack and the other is not?

I lost a lot of respect for McCain when he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. I've not agreed with some of his views. But, what he endured as a POW was heroic. It doesn't matter if he was a lousy pilot, it doesn't matter if he broke down and made an anti-American statement. He endured 5 years of hellish conditions and refused early release when offered. He was tortured for that and, to this day, lives with the injuries he suffered during that time. That man is a war hero.

Trump has got to have some sort of mental disorder.

But it actually is so terrible. The man is a war hero.

Which Donald Trump? The 2000 Reform Party candidate? You know, the one who was pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-single payer system, pro- one time big tax on the wealthy to pay down the debt? Or Trump 6.0-- our current version, in all his right wing nut job glory? Because he has flip flopped so much on so many things, that the only constant is that he is very good at judging the political mood and saying what people want him to say. It certainly doesn't speak well of his character or integrity that he will change his "deeply held" views on anything-- or that he is a draft dodger (deferred for a heel spur-- he doesn't remember which foot) trying to make his bones by attacking a POW.

I am a liberal and no fan of Senator McCain's politics. However he served his country nobly, no question.
Trump is a buffoon.

It was a tender. Other hotel groups competed for the concession rights. Do we really want the Bouffant Buffoon's name in lights along Pennsylvania Ave?

Oh yes, because that project would never go forward unless it had Trump involved.

What?
