Hi. I just joined facebook but want to block anyone from seeing my friends list. I want to block it before they join as a friend (can't explain why). Anyway, it doesn't allow me to do that.

Yes, you can. It's a setting under privacy. You can set it so people searching for you can't view your friends list. Friends will be able to see it, but no one else.

thanks. i don't want friends to see my friends list either. i know bizarre as it may sound, i have reasons....

I'm 29 and on Facebook, as are my 58 yr old parents (they share a facebook account, just like they share an email account - its very cute). My mom likes to look at pics of DD and DD's friends. She also likes to check up on my brother and his girlfriends

I know that when I was younger, I could have easily gotten in trouble with the people I spoke to and even met up withonline, so I plan to stay as involved as possible with my children's internet/online usage - although I'm sure facebook will be antiquated by the time she gets old enough to use it.

I don't think facebook is for you. Perhaps you should just stick to regular email. The whole idea behind facebook is that it's a social network.
