That's why I qualified my suggestion using the word "may." Reading is fundamental. |
If you can't afford a sitter, get rid of the gym membership and use workout DVDs after your child goes to bed. |
Where in the world has one person said this? OP, you are delusional. Or a troll. |
OP's family doesn't even have one. |
Why would you need a full-time nanny to watch him for an hour while you go the gym? |
Now I'm giggling (not the OP). |
Anonymous Yo mama, calm down! Why didn't you just put your son in the gym daycare or leave him at home? I think you're the one being hysterical and unreasonable here. |
So people hire babysitters for 5 hours per week??? How much would that cost? |
I hardly think that qualifies as shaming, and I also don't think the shower area of a gym qualifies as a public place. You are a real piece of work. |
You seriously think this person meant to live your 1-year old kid at home, alone? I win - you are delusional. You don't need the gym, you need meds. |
How did management respond? |
OP,
1. I would never leave a child that young at a gym anyway. Too bad if I can't exercise. Or, buy a used jogging stroller on Craigslist or at a consignment shop. Or just walk around carrying your toddler in a wrap - much better workout that way! 2. Whenever you are in public and your child creates a disturbance, you act in a suitably apologetic manner!!! Is that so hard to understand? It doesn't matter that it's not your fault, that your baby does not know any better, etc. YOU know better, and you have to be polite to others. Really OP, snap out of your little baby-centered world. |
Snort! |
And why was your son at the adult gym, exactly? If some woman tried to talk to me the way you did to that lady, I would make it impossible for you to EVER come to this gym. I don't need some loser who has to drag a one year old! to the gym telling me what and how to behave. |
OP, welcome to motherhood. Your kid comes first now, and all the excuses, poor reasoning, foot stomping and " but it's not fair" are out the window. |
