| I would say, buy what you use a lot of. I bought aluminum foil in bulk about 10 years ago. I rarely use aluminum foil. While I'm sure I saved money, I could have probably bought only a little bit of it from a grocery store - paying only a dollar or two - and spent the remaining money elsewhere. |

First, things I don't get because they are usually similar price or cheaper or significantly better quality at Whole Foods, and in smaller quantities:
Organic milk Grapes Avocados Peaches What I do get, and almost exclusively if possible at Costco: Strawberries Bananas Organic Spinach All purpose and cake flour Salt, pepper and dried herbs Peanut oil in the large cartons when they have it Organic EV olive oil Butter Eggs USDA Prime whole ribeye when available - Then I dry age it in the fridge for 30 days. Beef heaven Whole pork loin when on sale, otheriwse grocery stores often have on sale for cheaper or same price Frozen chicken thighs Salmon Some cheeses - Parmegiano Reggiano, Provolone Grape juice Non-food items TP Paper towels light bulbs tires Socks and underwear Jeans Diapers Wipes Shampoo Toothpaste vitamins OTC drugs such as Tylenol cold and flu Dog food |
