Actually, that is not accurate! |
I wrote the first post, you wrote the second and I think I love you! ![]() And 12:21, THANK YOU, TOO. I have read about Palin's "version" about Creationism, about the age of the earth, about dinosuars and humans living together, and details about the churches she attended, and I repeat, HOW can McCain want this looney tune in the White House?? I think the inaccurate person here is the the one who assumes I dont understand Palin's "flavor" of Creationism. |
12:11 if you actually WATCHED interviews with Sarah Palin instead of getting your news from who knows where, you would know that she DOES believe in Evolution, no matter what she says. Perhaps the "sources" you quote would benefit from more scrutiny.
If you think it is impossible for policticians to separate their politics from their religion, then let's talk about pro-choice "catholic" democrats. |
No. Let's not. The thread is about Sarah Palin. Crazy wacky lunatic dinosaur-riding Sarah Palin. Deal with it.
|
I am not making an argument, just stating a fact. You are being a jackass! |
Okay, that's the weird part... |
Nope -- I think you are wrong. She didn't say that she believes in evolution. Please post a link to that, if you have it! This is her record as far as I can find it: http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/sliming_palin.html
She said, "teach both". This says to me that she believed at the time that both Creationism and Evolution were equally valid.
She said, "It doesn't have to be a part of the curriculum". This says to me that someone explained to her that her position, "Teach both" was not politically a good idea. Now on the Hannity interview, recently -- when she is running for VP, she said: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,425161,00.html
So she says, she didn't only want Creationism taught, she wanted to have BOTH taught. I do not see her saying that she believes Evolution is true. In fact I am very sure she does not. So she cannot say anything, because if she does say "evolution is true" there are a BUNCH of poeple up in Alaska who can say she is lying. And what bothers me about this evolution issue and Palin is this: It isn't what she'll do with policy -- she can clearly be political and go with the flow when it suits her purposes. No, what bothers me is I do not want a literal creationist New Earther in charge or potentially in charge of the United States of America. Even if her father was a science teacher. (PS: no offense to well meaning people who do literally believe the Bible is true, by the way. I think you are great people, just please don't run for president or VP) |
Hey - my daughter refused to breastfeed and I had to pump for 9 months - she did not have ANY formula for the first 6... I think we need to find something else to attack her on - perhaps her preggers daughter, and abandoning her kids to campaign AND run a state |
BTW it turns out the correct term for the type of Creationism I've been referring to that I think is very wacky is "Young Earth Creationism" which would make a believer/proponent a "Young Earther" not a "New Earther". My bad! |
Ha ha! ![]() |
A lot of creationists believe in "microevolution" (small scale changes over time) but draw the line at "macroevolution" (species level changes). So Palin could believe in evolution and still be a young earth creationist. |
Hillary Clinton is not ugly.
I'd much rather live the life of Hillary Clinton than that of Sarah Palin. |
I bet Bill put a bag on her face to have sex with her. SHE IS UGLY. Not talking about her life, talking about her looks or lack of. Every seen the show ugly duckling? Those makeover artist can do wonders. Thanks goodness. |
Just curious - how does a human being become capable of this kind of vitriol toward a complete stranger? Did something awful happen to you in your life? If so, I'm sorry. Honestly. |
You're a troll who is trying to get attention! Ha ha! |
