Must have shorted the market at the beginning of the year and then went "all in" on international small value stocks. Brilliant!

A lot is from contributions so not 100% growth

Exactly. Almost losing your job lights a fire under you to save. We paid off our mortgage this year which helps with net worth.

20% jumping from 10 to 12M. My pay is only a small part of that increase. The rest is earnings. But I’m ready for a dip in the near future.

Probably 15% which is great! Zillow value down but investments up. We are retired so we are not as aggressive as we once were.

Bummer?

You are kidding right.

The National Debt has risen at least $3 Trillion, the economy sucks, unemployment is growning like weeds as is inflation.

That’s not true but whatever.

Just think about all the people who missed out on this market because they let their emotions get in the way of their financial security.

2025 ended up being a really good year for us (+100%) because one of our large individual stock holdings was bought out.

My investments are up over 6.5% in just the first two weeks of January. This market is crazy.

Mine went up about 20%, a good chunk of that because we saved a lot last year. The previous year we did a $300k+ reno project, last year we didn't plus income went up, so we probably added $600k to savings, plus market increases. House equity on 2 houses was about the same.
