What did Taylor mean that there will be two different transportation systems running at the same time during the grandfathering period whether or not there are regional programs?! Isn't that just a problem they're creating with the regional programs?

No. He meant if you have a senior and a freshman and your boundary changed, your kids would go to different schools bc your senior could stay at the original school. So two sets of buses would serve your neighborhood. Also kids in programs now could stay. So there would still need to be DCC buses and buses to countywide programs from neighborhoods outside of the school’s new region.

Finally some good news-- sounds like they are planning to ensure all high schools have both on-level and honors classes.

I didn't hear them say that. When was that? But if that is true, that is GOOD news.

The posters who have been saying the board is behind the Regional Program proposal push are right. They are all falling in line in this meeting. How gross.

They are also going to consider weighting honors and AP differently in GPA

Damn, Montoya basically more or less said that she supports doing the programs on the current timeline. I don't see any path for slowing it down if she's on board.

Yup. Her and Laura were the only ones I thought might make a stink so if they're rolling over, you can forget it. It's a done deal.

Are they going to decide this at the last minute after kids have already picked their courses? Again?

Stewart needs a communications coach. Her points get completely lost.

She needs a seriously strong and patient one, cause she's an absolute mess.

It's at around 8:25:30 on the video.

Julie Yang is out of control. In 10+ years of watching board meetings I have never seen a board president act this way in telling board members when they can/can't speak, cutting board members off and acting like a complete dictator. This role really went to her head, she needs to humble herself quickly. She is a terror and would be awful as a council member.
