Desigual is an avant-garde brand for people who understand that fashion is part of a broader social conversation and that challenging the status quo is a responsibility of anyone with a conscience.
The fact that someone prefers bland sweaters and conservative wear tells me they are very comfortable or very trapped in the status quo; their violent reaction to Desigual tells me that Desigual is doing its job: challenging the mindless following of the masses. |
These are really pretty! |
Mindful person here, who think's it's super ugly. |
Sweetie. You are not in Rei Kawakubo. You’re pushing highly flammable future landfill garbage for the legally blind. Get a grip. |

Ok this is DCUM. We are tired moms with limited energy. I am trying to look halfway decent without spending a ton of energy or a ton of money. I live in a suburb and work for the government. I don’t have a place in my life for high fashion. Making enough of a nod towards trends to not embarrass my tween is really what I’m going for.
If you love and appreciate avant garde clothing this may not be the best place to find your people. I’m sure there are other places! I am just tired and old and have no idea where that would be. Maybe Vogue has a comment section on their website? |
| Ok, this may be an unpopular answer but I always find something when I go to TJ Maxx. I recently got this cute Tuckernuck top there, which you also can still get on the tnuck site: https://tnuck.com/products/black-alessia-top |
Love that top! Wish it came in other colors. |
Bless your heart. |
+1 Just for kicks, I looked at that Desigual website. What a bunch of truly ugly clothing. |
Stop smelling your own farts and go touch grass |
Oh please. It's mall clothing. The Spanish version of Wet Seal. |
Me too. I love shopping at TJ Maxx as I find all sorts of things and for what it’s worth I have no problem spending upwards of 300 on these kind of shirts. For whatever reason I get good fines at Ross, Marshalls and TJ Maxx and end up getting more compliments on those than what I buy in Nordstrom. |

Is there a particular top you’re referring to? Because I just looked at that website and found everything hideously ugly. |

I like this velour top from Garnet Hill. Pretty and soft.
