Do your kids love seaweed?

Neither are super foods nor the devil.

I agree. I just don’t buy seaweed because it’s not a snack I like and therefore my kids don’t eat it. My kid’s friend has shared a seaweed snack with my kid and my kid liked it, but I’m not going out to buy them.

We always have chips in the house because I usually have a sandwhich and chips for lunch. One of my kids likes chips but we limit them. The other one really doesn’t like them.

My teen went through a major seaweed snack obsession from about 5th grade to 7th grade. He still likes it but is no longer obsessed. He'll eat them if they're around, but doesn't ask me to buy them anymore.

And, yes, it's the oil and salt that he likes. But he also likes the unsalted nori used in sushi, or the softer kind in miso soup or ramen ... he just doesn't eat those alone as a snack.

+1 yes I suspect it’s the salt that my daughter likes in the seaweed snack so no, we aren’t going to buy an additonal salty snack when we already have chips occasionally.

Our entire family is skinny. I also grew up in a skinny family and we can all eat whatever we want because our metabolisms are that good. I don’t associate chips with being fat - I’m sorry you do.

It’s also reaching to assume someone who doesn’t like seaweed snacks will have chicken nuggets.

It was an Asian who assumed because someone doesn’t like seaweed they must be white and like chicken nuggets and chips.
