We aren’t apathetic. I don’t want my premiums skyrocketing. That will affect me more than the government staying closed. Feds have cushy insurance so they don’t care if others get screwed on insurance.

We aren’t apathetic. I don’t want my premiums skyrocketing. That will affect me more than the government staying closed. Feds have cushy insurance so they don’t care if others get screwed on insurance.

Well that’s a conundrum I guess. But I don’t trust R’s to do anything about insurance once the government reopens. They need to deal now.

Um...pretty much everyone who doesn't have their family exclusively in the DC area? Not everyone lives in the town they were born in...And it is a big deal to wait for future holidays--not everyone has tons of vacation time and can travel whenever and wherever...

Have you ever experienced staying home, having a four day break, raking leaves and binge watching TV? Some friends feel sorry for us that we don't have a lot of family around for Thanksgiving, while others are very jealous of our four day break at home. I guess in the early 1900s, most people celebrated Thanksgiving locally and didn't try and travel thousands of miles for dry turkey.

I have, and haven't enjoyed it. Thanksgiving is one of the few times during the year where my kids can see all their cousins and extended family and everyone of all ages gets together for food and socialization without the pressure of work and school and activities. Binge watching TV doesn't compare.

Honestly I don’t care that you find it frustrating. No one feels sorry for feds. Tell your leaders their tactics aren’t working and just pass the CR already if you find it frustrating.

Tell your leaders to stop the filibuster and do it without Democrats negotiation.

NP. I don't think the PP was saying everything is fine, just that they didn't encounter the long lines and flight delays they were anticipating.

Yes they're not getting long delays or cancellations because people are working without pay literally said everything was fine it's fine because people are showing up for work without pay.

I like the filibuster, even if I don’t like how it is being used now. Removing it will make the government much more volatile and that is bad for everyone. Be very careful what you wish for, removing that.
