Haven’t they talked about it? Iirc, though, there is only 1 R district. I think anything they do would probably tilt it to make other districts more competitive |
This is what the Tea Party Republicans did when they had full control. It was in place for years before being ruled illegal. But of course Democrats shouldn’t do anything, that would be impolite. |
If there is one republican elected congressman it is a failure. |
Might want to check the data. Things have changed since Covid. |
Good grief. Have you ever looked at the map. It has been gerrymandered to ensure Democrats keep northern Virginia. The former comstock seat is ridiculously gerrymandered and guess what. She lost. |
| I’m not okay with it, but it’s time to start playing dirty, too. |
She lost because she sucked. NoVA is blue. Get used to it |
Gerrymandering is a bipartisan sin, no doubt. But the real issue here and now is off-census Gerrymandering, and that lies completely at the feet of the GOP. |
And to protect Trump from accountability at the polls, at that. I find it distasteful, but the GOP started this gun fight. No point in showing up with a paperclip. |
+1 |
California? |
In response to Texas. GOP fired the first shot. |
Democrats already gerrymandered states like Illinois and Massachusetts. I used to live there. 40 percent are republicans, not 1 republican congressperson…. So don’t give that garbage that democrats have not doe t he same thing and republicans are the ones catching up… |
Agree and furthermore, Republicans could vote for the Democrats’ bill banning all partisan gerrymandering at any time. |
Well said. Every time that Ds try to eliminate gerrymandering guess who blocks or isn't willing to compromise? Rs. Well, OK then. Guess we have to play hardball. |
