No one is asking to know "ASAP." Last year the test results were provided by MCPS to parents nearly a year later.

They came home in October last year, didn't they? I think some schools waited a long time to send but I'm pretty sure MCPS got them to schools by October and some schools sent them home then. That's nowhere near a year.

For my kid, they came in April. Others on this thread have reported similar lags in receiving results. If it were October, I wouldn’t be complaining.

That sounds like your individual school screwed things up?

And the individual schools of everyone else on this thread? Just because you insist something happened at your school, doesn't make it so. There have been many threads on this MCPS forum that talk about the extreme lag in distributing MCAP scores. My bet is you're a central office troll and making things up.

They give them access to the electronic reports earlier than they mail them. If you want your report, you can get them by emailing the testing and reporting unit. They can get you an electronic copy. The supervisor used to be Donna Blaney, but it looks like she is on detail elsewhere.

That’s ridiculous. They have the test results on September 12. It shouldn’t be a matter of interested parents emailing the central office testing units and getting their kids’ scores and the rest of the masses getting them mailed to them 6 months later when the data are totally stale.

You should be able to get them then. Agree it should be up on ParentVue shortly after, but given that they delay them until the winter/spring, I'd suggest everyone ask for them this month.

Where do you see that? It says "ISRs Due in District" September 12th. There are lots of other data files that are sent to districts as well, but ISRs are the individual student reports that people are saying they want copies of sooner.

“Individual student report” 8/8 in the second row. I have always been able to get the electronic report before September by requesting it and cc-ing the state (because MCPS won’t do ut if not required to do so). MCPS gets the files so they can distribute them, nut just the hard copies.

Can’t imagine getting my panties in a bunch, as a parent, over meaningless standardized test scores. The results are designed to drive instruction and provide a holistic view of trends across the school and district.

Individual MCAP scores aren’t that important - there are far more valuable data points beyond this single assessment.

Students are required to pass Algebra among other math MCAPs in order to graduate high school.
