What a stupid uninformed take |
I don't see why they can't do a Sunday morning. Dive divisionals and all stars are on a Sunday |
Or…ask that swimmers warmup at their local pools and just do some practice starts on site and get going. The forecast was never in doubt after this morning…at the minimum nvsl could’ve shortened the warmups and start the meet at 330-345. So maybe you could’ve gotten through medleys but that’s about it. |
Good luck finding a weekend to do it. IAS has already been pushed back to August 1 next year |
A lot of teams did do warmups at their home pool already. When we were all sitting around at 3:45, they should have started then. |
Power was back in at 8 |
Which is the traditional week it is held. It has been way early the past few years. |
It shifted once schools started going back before Labor Day. Moved back next year because schools get out so late. June 17 for FCPS. |
It's not really a big deal it was canceled. This doesn't define the season and not the last meet by far. People need to chill. Parents need to work tomorrow so a continual delay just doesn't work. |
That couldn't have been predicted and NVSL needed to make a decision. If they had waited longer and power was still out, people would be criticizing them for not calling the meet sooner. |
+1 Also, it's summer swim. In the big picture, it really isn't all that important. |
They can’t move it to a Sunday to both PVS LC Open Champs and LC Age Group Champs the following week. The only possible solution is to move it up to a mid-morning start time on Wednesday. |
Please move this meet to a Sunday or a weekday morning. But please please get away from summer evenings. |
When are the results typically posted? |
csl does this on a Sunday. The kids that swim champs can make a choice. Summer swim is for fun! |
