What in the world is with the Amherst hate?

OP: If you're hoping to boost esteem for Amherst here, your approach is counterproductive. It's a great school. There's no need for insecurity and certainly no need to gratuitously take shots at other LACs here or in other threads.

Every shot taken has been reasonable. Amherst is a top liberal arts college in a way that other schools- especially Pomona- aren’t.
