The old man had just had major back surgery 4 days prior, and was on heavy post surgery meds when she got him to sign the contract.

There is actually a movement to create an elderly protection law to give a set pause to any contracts where an elderly person suddenly sells their primary residence that they are still residing in, to prevent this kind of predatory abuse.
