So whenever there's an incident, they bring in the ADL even if the group being targeted was not Jewish.

Not sure it can be posted as the thread on it got deleted. An Mcps teacher after the dc murders made a comment condoning or excusing it

It was deleted, but I was able to see it and see her profile when it was unlocked. Took screen shots. I am honestly shocked and surprised at how openly antisemitic that teacher is even though she’s Jewish. It’s OK to be antisemitic if you’re Jewish, I guess.

While I abhor what happened to the two people who got shot, I also abhor what is happening to the Palestinians.

I don't agree with the "two white racists" but she is not wrong about the other part. Children are dying in Gaza, and the IDF are laughing about it. That's disturbing, too.

If she's Jewish, I see her post as calling out the hypocrisy of anti-semitism and teaching kindness as a teacher of Jewish descent.

The fact that she feels that any Jewish person is a white racist is a problem.

Out of curiosity, what are the rules if MCPS teachers make racist comments on their own social media. I'm sure MCPS has explicit rules. If they allow teachers to make racist comments, then I agree that this would be under that. But I'd be really surprised if that was the case.

You don't think there are Jewish people who are racist? Seriously? Jewish people can do no wrong?

I think “any” meant “every/all” here.

What? How did you get that from this post? The TEACHER posted that the two people MURDERED were racist because they were white and Jewish. This was about them.

"The fact that she feels that any Jewish person is a white racist is a problem." -- as if Jewish people can't be racist?

You are misreading it … she is saying ALL Jewish people are racist.

In this case, she put up a post on her personal social media, though. Look, I think her views are at best misguided - there is no evidence that the two young people murdered by antisemitic violence were supportive of the Government of Israel's actions in Gaza - but she was not "on the job" when she made this post.

She made several of her previous posts while she was at work at NBMS.

It actually raises a pretty important question of what rights a teacher has while off the clock.

What about the rights of parents who don’t want a teacher posting that to teacher their child?

Israel is not Judiàism. I don't have anything against Jewish people but at the same time I don't agree with stealing the Palestinian land and killing off all their people in the name of Yahweh. More like noway!

Sort of like white parents who don’t want any black people teaching their children? It’s a slippery slopez

Uh huh. This is a totally sane response to two young people being shot in the back in D.C. last week, and then a MCPS teacher celebrating it.

Samesies!! I don't have anything against Muslim people but at the same time I don't agree with stealing the entire Middle East, North Africa, chunks of sub-saharan Africa, part of India and then either killing off all the indigenous people or making them convert in the name of Allah. More like Nah-llah!

There were multiple news articles about her posts a few years ago.
All mcps does is shuffle them around.
Despicable.

https://www.foxnews.com/media/maryland-teacher-calls-urgent-war-capitalism-revolutions-involve-violence.amp

And there was another article about her in Newsweek but she was incorrectly referred to as “Rachel” Rothstein.

Wait—is this the teacher being discussed? My kids had her at the time that Fox News article came out. She was truly a wonderful and caring teacher and that fox mews article severely misrepresented even what her personal social media said. If she’s the one that made the comment about the couple recently killed, I am truly saddened. She was a wonderful teacher and it would be a shame.

Multiple parents from NBMS complained about her posts when she was there. Mcps admin did nothing and then she had a paid position working for the mcps teachers’ union before she went to teach at Argyle MS.

I’m a NbMs parent and the posts about her on the parent listserve were universally positive and supportive. I did not hear about a single parent that complained. McPS also has nothing to do with who Mcea picks for the union rep position, so it’s really weird for you to blame that on McPS or suggests it means McPS was shuffling her around — she left because she was an activist and wanted to spend a year doing that.
