Not at all. The Republicans chose someone who could win - and did. The Democrats chose poorly. If Biden was so cognitively impaired, Democrats should have invoked the 25th amendment, had Harris take over, and then run as an incumbent. But they thought that was worse than Biden remaining in office.

The Democratic Party is a huge disappointment. The fact that Biden may have been severely impaired is disturbing to say the least, and Kamala did not go through the primary process and was terrified to deviate from the party line. But the fact that so many people looked at Trump and honestly believed he was a better choice is still astounding to me. I always go back to David Sedaris’s quote from 2016: When offered a meal on a flight, Kamala was the chicken. Trump is the plate of sh*t with broken glass sprinkled on top and people chose that. I’ll never understand.
