Once the impact of destroying the Federal Government and fired 75% of federal employees and contractors start to bite republicans could lose 10-14 seats in the senate.

Are people finally fed up? Are they going to finally vote against GOP down ballot?

GOP will never cross party lines. We need our own voters and new voters to come out.

Bullet dodged in Minnesota. Omar said two months ago that she wasn’t ruling it out, now she has.

Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan (D) is running.

On the GOP side, there’s a state rep who’s been busy deleting all of her social media posts supporting Nikki Haley, so she’s definitely running for something. 😆

The only thing that makes me nervous is how White the Hands Off protests were. We already have total Democratic voting commitment from all the white progressives and laid off federal employee types. Trump bit into our expected margins with black folks and hispanic folks last time. We still have most of those folks voting for us, but we had very few marching for us. How can we get those groups fired up? The DOGE stuff and the stock market stuff don’t seem to be resonating.

I worry about this too. Minority voters also aren’t that moved by “dictator” and “threat to Democracy” messaging.

We need to show how he’s hurting them. Nit how he might (if he fired us in DC, he might fire you in Memphis, or, if he cut USAID he might steal your social security check), but how he already has!

What? For Youngkin?

I'm not in Virginia, so it's not really my battle. But I do think the people there could do much better than Warner. You can replace him with another Democrat for all I care. Just seeing Warner lose his seat would be satisfying by itself.

Warner and my congressman, Connely are just happy and chillin at their seats and have no fear of losing it. Sometimes change is needed for congress people to perform better. May be some other democrat or republican need to challenge him .

Warner does IG videos nearly every day. You may not like him, but he’s showing up daily.

Black Americans have said all over social media they’re sitting it out. 1/ they didn’t create this mess, and 2/ the police will use them to declare martial law. I’ve seen dozens of people online say that’s why they’re sitting it out, FYI. I’m sure Black DCUM can weigh in.

Connolly and Kaine also send periodic emails about what they’re doing to address the current situation. Kaine just managed to get a bill passed to undo tariffs on Canada. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DE8Fs2d9M/?mibextid=wwXIfr. There have also been several Townhall-type group calls. I participated in two. Go to their websites and sign up to receive information from them. Some of them are also on social media. Follow them.

The same folks who who voted in the 2018 midterms to give Dems control of the House will do the same in 2026 and the same 80 million folks that voted against Trump in 2020 will do the same in 2028. Stop overthinking things. This is the exact same scenario that played out during Trump's 1st term. Trump's approval ratings are quickly sagging to the pitiful Trump/Biden 40% threshold and we all know that level of disapproval means disaster up and down the party ticket.

If a Bush, Reagan, Romney, McCain or any other normal GOP politician from the past was in office, there would be reason for concern. Trump is very giving to the opposition party when he is in office. We've been here before. Act like it.

Black and brown people are extra afraid. I'm not even the "wrong kind of brown person", and it made me horribly nervous just to travel overseas, although I am a US citizen. We have targets on our backs, so until things improve, most of us are keeping our heads down and working in ways that don't bring attention to ourselves.

I'll protect you. Don't live in fear. Love conquers all.

Black people are on vacation. We tried to tell you. His margins among black men will not hold. Folks were voting on the economy and he is tanking that. We'll come out, but we aren't ready yet. Y'all got us in this mess, y'all should fix it.

Don't count on it. People have short term memory and it all depends on they spin it by that time.

People remember trauma, and this is traumatic. The past four months are the worst politically I've experienced in my life, and I'm old. This is unprecedented and beyond horrible. It's 100 times worse than Richard Nixon, and he was a crook.

Perfect if Dems have 3/3 of Senate and a majority in the House then impeaching Trump, Be able. And Johnson will be a slam dunk.

As much as I'd love to see Trump impeached and removed from office, do things really get any better under a President Vance?

We impeach Vance as well. He's been fully complicit in the crimes this administration is committing every day.
