Can you please provide a list of all these “red states” and “many cases” that don’t allow you to remove an ectopic pregnancy? I’ll wait. |
I don't get it either, OP. I [participated in a reproductive rights march earlier last year and there were 75 year olds with white hair saying, "I can't believe I'm doing this again...." |

Every presidential candidate who ran on making abortion rights federal failed to do so. Almost like they wanted to keep it as a problem to use during every election. |
The study you quoted from is specifically a study/evaluation of 568 abortions that were "performed due to fetal, maternal or obstetric indications beyond the 10th gestational week from January 2021 to June 2023". That's not a study of abortions for all reasons. I pulled my number from here: https://lozierinstitute.org/fact-sheet-reasons-for-abortion/. |
I just don’t get why people want the option to terminate past viability.
|
You mean you pulled it from a non-profit that "advises and leads the pro-life movement with groundbreaking scientific, statistical, and medical research." |
Trump is the ultimate example of a politician who used the abortion issue to get the anti-abortion votes. He personally does not care if you get an abortion or not. He cares more about his golf game than abortion . But he used it to get elected, foolishly actually overturned roe and bragged about it, and now he's going to pay the price. |
Because health complications arise after the "viability" point of 20-22 weeks. After that point, the fetus may need to be terminated to save the life of the mother, protect the mother's future fertility, or to end progression of a fetus that will not live more than an hour or two after being born. Even with "mothers health" exception, the laws in individual states are purposely vague and the doctors are scared of lawyers and prosecutors. |
It is extremely rare and always for a heartbreaking catastrophic reason. This has been explained over and over and over again. |
And we will all do it again and again and again and again until the laws reflect our inalienable right to make our own reproductive decisions. |
Tell me you know nothing about women’s health without…wait, you did tell me! It’s not a new spin. Heretofore, care for all facets of women’s reproductive health wasn’t up for policing by lay folks. Simply because you are now only hearing about it doesn’t mean it’s “new.” |
https://healthlaw.org/maternity-wing-closures-in-the-u-s-south-impetus-and-impact/ Rural areas in the South are the most dangerous places to be pregnant. |
This data does, however, disprove the notion that women are seeking elective abortions right up until the 9th month. Late term abortions are not elective. |
Calling people who disagree with you stupid and ignorant will never accomplish what you want it to accomplish. We will never say, yes you are right, I am so dumb thank you for setting me straight. I stand by the post you are responding to by the way. |
