I think the demographics are not on our side. Young males are trending conservative. And the DNC running a very old man is not playing well with young people.

The panic should be over the Rs cheating and trying to suppress the vote. They know they can’t win free and fair elections. Look at what has happened since 2017. Because of Trump the senate Rs lost majority control, the Rs barely have a majority in the house. Look at special elections this year. Not looking good for Rs at all. And look closely at what happened in the Ohio special election. The R candidate won, but not by much. Trump won that by double digits.

Women are pissed off and we are a huge voting block. We will come out and we will come out strong on election day and that should give the Rs plenty to worry about.

let’s get this straight. if Trump wasn’t running for president in 2020 Biden would’ve stayed retired. If the Rs had the guts to put a decent candidate forward we wouldn’t be here now. Admittedly, not much.

I hope/believe we are at the low point of what has been a very long, slow burn reaction to civil rights gains by women, people of color, LGBTQ folks, etc., coupled with the demographic change of the US, and a turn towards ruthless capitalism. I'm not sure the current Democrats in charge have what it takes but I am hopeful that the next generation does. The religious kooks are already outnumbered and that's only going to continue as they double down on dumb ideas.

Most of this country is centrist.

I do think Democrats have to buckle down on their local, county, state level game and be reasonable but unapologetic. Think Obama. Stop trying to win the culture war. It's a manufactured crisis machine and someone needs to call it out as such.
