Britney Spears going broke

I TOLD YOU SO, ‘FREE BRITNEY’ CRUSADERS!

This is deeply sad but entirely foreseeable. I wish I could call out all the posters who attacked me in the long threads on Britney’s conservatorship when I spoke from my years of experience in court and argued that most of what Jamie was doing was sincerely for the best interests of his daughter.

Does anyone really think her lawyer who has milked her for $4 million so she could pay $2 million more to Jamie’s lawyers has her best interests at heart?

Britney’s fall is going to be epic.

Does anyone really think she would be worse off right now if she was rehearsing regularly for a residency in Vegas while taking meds daily and seeing therapists weekly?

The only conditions of her conservatorship that anyone could seriously challenge as untoward was the requirement to use effective birth control. Yet I don’t think anyone could responsibly argue that she should have had more children in this lifetime.

Good thing her sons are nearly grown, sounds like she’ll be too poor for child support soon enough.

It's a shame her mother and sister did not step to the plate when things fell out with her father. I do not believe for one moment her father took advantage of her, that is in her f up mind. Talented, but crazy in a not good way. I predict a Marilyn Monroe ending all by herself.

Her father absolutely took advantage of her. She was forced to headline tours and have a residency in Vegas, and her dad was compensated for it. No one in her family had her best interests at heart.

so she was forced to do her job? lol should she just be left alone to dance around with weapons post nudes, do drugs and hang out with criminals? oh wait that's happening now.

She already had money and didn’t need to work. Her dad could have made wise investments and let her live a quiet life. You have to wonder if she’d be the same way if she had the freedom to retire from music at the start of the conservatorship.

No, you’re wrong. You should do more research into what Britney’s finances were when her father filed for the conservatorship. She was quickly running through her funds - it was under the terms of the conservatorship that she built the $60 million that she’s now burning through in her unmedicated mania with nobody around to influence her except bad influences.

But it is, or could, cause self-harm due to mental illness…the person needs help. Mentally ill people need help.

This. Give me a break. Her family is trash from Mississippi. They had their chance to get her proper help and just saw the $$ signs. Keeping under one any longer is inhumane.

HEY! I won't stand for this. Her family is trash from Louisiana. NOT Mississippi. Get it right.

Did she have zero dollars? I bet she still had a couple million or the potential to earn a few million through photos. Take that and retire to Louisiana or wherever she could live quietly. She might be more stable if she had been in treatment instead of paraded around on tours to make millions for her father.

It's no different than the many rockstars, rappers, and athletes who blew through all their money and went bankrupt. It's a shame, but in general it's their lives. If I had a conservatorship over Britney Spears I'd buy her a mansion down South, invest her money, not touch the principal, and use the annual dividends/interest to pay for security and medical.

Yeahhh I sadly agree with you guys. I think she knows right from and wrong and a lot of her mental health issues is because of drugs. Bad decisions =/= she's incompetent.

What part of Britney makes you think she wants to live quietly?

The fact that she almost never makes public appearances?

+1 Yes, and some need longterm hospitalization. Her downward spiral is a tragedy.

How is she already going broke? What about the money from her book?
