Yes. Hated it.

Within a few years of this, I also saw Liquid Sky, The Man Who Fell to Earth, and Koyanisqaatsi.

So many terrible, pretentious movies.

The Chocolate War from 1988. The vibes were weird as hell from that one.

That one def deserves to be on this list!

The weirdest movie I've ever seen is this movie directed by Crispin Glover = it's called What is It? and we saw a midnight screening in Richmond once, when we decided to go for a weekend: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118141/

I don't even know how to describe how weird this movie is. There are some scenes where people with Down Syndrome smash snails' shells and salt them while they are still alive, and those are far from the weirdest part of the movie (but I've had those disturbing images stuck in my head for 15 years, so yay).

The Lobster is weird but I feel like it works on its own terms. Like I didn't come out really bothered by it, if that makes sense, even if it was surreal and full of surprises. EEAAO was sort of similar. It was weird but not disturbing weird, and made sense in its own strange world.

Oh gosh, right? There was that phase in the 90s where Peter Greenaway was making movies, and I was seeing his movies, and I didn't understand a single one of them!

The Lobster IS disturbing weird. It's uncomfortable and strange. I too wish I had never watched it.

Fantastic Planet. I was a kid and thought it was the weirdest thing I'd ever seen.
