Anti semitism should not include being able to stand up for Palestine/Gaza. I really feel strongly that Jews who keep putting down these protesters are in the wrong. It's not about whether the protesters are right but that they should be allowed to express their sentiments without being attacked publicly. People don't understand that universities have always been the battlefront of intense political dialogue - education is where ideas and thoughts are expressed and absorbed. Questioning and debate, considerations and strong sentiments are the way the young learn. To take away the rights of these kids is basically censorship.

NP. I saw a video tonight where the “kids” you are defending were screaming “Go back to Poland” at Jewish students. Something like 96% of Polish Jews were killed by the Nazis. Is this the side and behavior you are defending?

Except they are not Columbia students, they are confirmed agitators.

Al Jazeera news has video of students holding signs that Palestine will be free by any means necessary. Violence is being advocated for.

Libs gonna lib.

Universities kowtowed like spineless, gutless cowards to libs and their insane demands over the last 10-20 years, now Unis are reaping what they have sown.

Universities stifle debate and only hire far leftist professors or use asinine DEI quotas. There is zero counterbalance anymore on university campuses to the far left agenda and indoctrination.

So, soooo enjoyable watching universities implode due to problems they created by tolerating far leftist ideology for far too long.

Israel is not left or progressive. Israel is extreme right wing.

You are funny. They are protesting on tax payers' dime once Biden bribes them for votes.

Man …Israel has lost it. This is a generational shift and it is being greeted by police crack downs, extremely one side administration action, suppression, propaganda and lies. Any victories won by the right wing pro Israeli crowd will be Pyrrhic.

When you lose the Universities and colleges you have lost the war.

You mean the universities that charge hundreds of thousands of dollars for a crap education? University enrollment is going down because people are realizing it’s a joke and a waste of money.

The Jerusalem Post article said the Yale editor in chief who was poked in the eye was trying to shut down the protest, so it wasn’t some random poking of an innocent passerby. I als wonder if if happened in the chaos, instead of being deliberate.

The article also called all the kids anti-Israel, which I find troubling. The protesters aren’t a monolith. Just because you want a ceasefire doesn’t mean you don’t want Israel to exist. I also wonder why we don’t see anti-Palestine ever written because it sure seems like there are also a bunch of people who want to bomb Palestinians to infinity even if they start a regional war.

Do you think they will storm the capital capitol? I know they will suddenly convert to maga, support genocide, the apartheid the state, the transfer of US wealth to a corrupt fanatical religious state, support abolishment of the US constitution and embrace Israel. This is what supporting Israel means. Good luck with that!

The "generational shift" is the left-wing universities that have indoctrinated students by their left-wing liberal professors.
These activist students are learning about what free speech means and what it does not mean.

You cannot claim "free speech" while threatening others and violating rules and laws.

Did you just try and justify someone being stabbed in the eye?

As far as I can tell, the Zionists are totally losing it over the idea that they may not be welcome in the “encampments” on college campuses if they are vocally supporting Israel at the same time (there are many pro-Palestinian Jewish students in the encampments). They insist the entire campus is “theirs” and there isn’t one square inch at Columbia, Yale, etc they shouldn’t be free to traverse.

If only they extended the same courtesies to the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank whose freedom of movement has been so severely restricted for decades by Israel. But the irony is completely lost on them, apparently.
