Its confimed |
LMVSC added to RL and to be the next partner with brave, confirmed. |
Confirmed |
Brave parent here.
Just confirmed all of this news with my daughter. By now most Brave families are aware of this information. People are going to be confused and upset by this alliance for many reasons but some of us are pretty excited. This is what a few people have said about 3 of the age groups there so far. 2010 - NVA and Union will be getting most of the Brave girls from this age group with the best 7 or so moving over to Union. The remaining players will fight for roster spots over at NVA. 2009 - The top 3 2009 players will also be moving over to Union. Once they start practicing with Union it shouldn’t be too long before offer letters are sent out. 2008 - The biggest player movement should happen here. Nearly all of the families are unhappy and openly speak about change. If the top 11 girls move to the Union 08s as expected this should be more than enough to challenge for a top spot in the Mid Atlantic next year. 3 other players on this team have ties to VDA as well. Please remember that when all this happens you can comeback here and reference this post. In the meantime reach out to Brave leadership and inquire whether this rumor is true or not. |
Everyone thinks they are going to VDA, not much room there and the top TSJ FCV players are going there. |
So for something that was just confirmed, somehow all these players already have a spot on another team? Who has the time to troll like this? |
It’s AI, CONFIRMED |
Pretty sure it's the same insecure DAD that trolls brave on every possible thread with his stupid ass comments about brave. Honestly, it's so obvious even on an anonymous board. Not a single brave or union parent believes it. |
There’s a reason why neither club has announced ID sessions yet. |
Maybe the reason is its February and they are trying to dial down the insanity of tryouts less than halfway into a soccer season |
Definitely not the reason. |
There is no geographic challenge or talent issue with Vienna or Brave. The amount of talent they've lost, ignored, or driven away over the years is enough to compete with any club in the area. It's simply an inability to identify, attract, and develop talent. The coaches are either dirt old or have no substantial experience outside of Vienna. Our son started out with Vienna and left the club just prior to the Brave creation. Leaving was the best thing we could have done. Moved to an MLS Next team, and thriving. Combining with Union is unlikely to change the dynamic unless you bring in a handful of coaches who actually know how to develop talent. There is one good coach at Union. |
Would seem to be a pretty simple explanation for that. Being ECNL clubs in Virginia, they are both obligated to honor the Designated Tryout Date of March 1. Not sure if they can announce ID session dates prior to then (I would assume so) but they definitely are NOT allowed to conduct ID sessions prior to that date. |
