I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Beyonce didn't want to perform. She and JayZ don't really like the Grammys much. And they are right not to! I cannot believe she didn't get Album for Lemonade or Renaissance.

+1 lemonade should have won against Adele. Ridiculous. Renaissance was hurt by the expanded field. Too many albums are nominated now.

Jay-Z read the GRammy's for some filth. He won the Dr Dre Global impact award. Brough Blue Ivy on stage (when did she become a teenager!). Gave a rambling speech that hard some hard-hitting points but rambled a bit too incoherently. Brought up that Beyonce has the most grammys ever, btu hasn't ever won album of the year. There's also long-standing controversy of how songs/acts are placed in different categories, with some real head scratchers/insults, especially in the rap categories. Did make a funny joke about Will smith boycotting the grammy's the year they won a rap grammy but boycotted when their category wasn't in the broadcast. He joked it was a dumb boycott because then they watched the grammys on TV, which I thought he might be trying to diss Will and DJ Jazzy Jeff, but then he joked he also had a dumb boycott where he also watched after DMZ wasn't nominated.
