Big fat “NO” to the “Our Towns” fools and their selective narratives and breathtaking arrogance.

a shutdown seems more likely than not to happen.

And when it happens it will once again be 100% the fault of Republican bad-faith governance of malfeasance and mismanagement.

Past shutdowns have always hurt the Republicans and this shutdown will also hurt the GOP.

Is McCarthy the most ineffective GOP speaker ever or what? He’s allowed the inmates to run the asylum.

Will my long term care and health insurance policies get paid if I am not getting paid ? (They come out of my Federal salary)

No. This is terrible. Also, consider all of the contractors who will never be paid.

Instead, Republicans want to impeach Biden instead of keeping the government going.

Today on CNBC Janet Yellen said “We’ve got a good strong economy … and creating [a] situation that could cause a loss of momentum is something we don’t need.”

Well, sometimes you have to spill some milk to win elections. Of COURSE Yellen wants the economy to be strong next Fall, so that Bidet WINS!!! So by definition anyone who wants to fix this country wants the economy to be terrible.

How do you get to terrible? Throw Administrative State enablers out of work. Choke off their paychecks and any benefits. See how we can operate WITHOUT them. Enjoy the spillover effects as those out of state enablers can’t buy houses of cars, and cut back on home improvements and dining out.

If you do a long shutdown and force back pay to be cut as part of any deal, you can drop the hammer on Biden’s economy. And his re-election, regardless of who we eventually nominate as GOP’s POTUS and VPOTUS.

Tell me you don't know anything at all about how the government works without telling me

Not likely. There will likely be some kicking the can down road with continuing resolutions if bills aren't passed in time. We don't exactly have the strongest and brightest core of congressional leaders running the show these days but they do know what to do in order to mask their failures from the general public.

I’m not sure about that. They think they are being tough on cutting the deficit.

But. If there is going to be a shutdown, it should be real and complete. No air traffic controllers, no military in the nuclear silos or anywhere else, no tsa. People don’t think the federal government does anything for them, let them actually live without it and they can decide if it has any value or not.

Well, we don't get to decide if there will be a shutdown or the extent of any shutdown that does happen. I say it won't happen because there are multiple ways of preventing it from happening and those in congress have learned from recent shutdowns that despite all of the finger pointing at the other side of the aisle, no one comes out looking like a hero when congressional failures lead to government shutdowns.

No, the republicans certainly have not learned anything from the prior shutdowns.
