Glacier calving in Argentina. View from the top of Half Dome. Darwin’s Arch in the Galapagos before it collapsed. SO MANY underwater dive sites around the world. The world beneath the ocean is amazing! |
I am not an average person, but the view from Harpers Ferry is up there. Very beautiful.

Bora Bora
Seychelles - every beach Maldives Na Pali coast Hawaii Alaska fjords Iguazu Falls Switzerland Looking at this list - makes me realize Seychelles was the most beautiful although they all come close in their own way. |
Helicopter tour of Mt. Waialeale crater in Kauai. Paradise on Earth. |
Just loved this too! |
Recommend getting to Hoh pretty early in the morning to avoid 2+ hour waits. I can't remember exactly, but I think a ranger suggested that we be there by 9am or 10am and we were so glad we listened. We had no wait at all but after that the parking lots got full and the lines to get in as we were leaving were crazy long. All of Olympic is amazing (and the various stops are so different from one another) - enjoy!!!! |
Not OP, but apparently I have a very different view of "normal person" than most people here. |

Well mine are mostly listed already but I’ll give some spin on them:
Grand Canyon at sunset (so many tourists leave before then!) A meadow in Tetons that they took us to for a cookout on a horseback ride Napoli coast and hanalei bay (which is sort of the back view of the napali coast) I fel like there are also some beautiful gardens of tree areas but I can’t pick just one. Whenever I drive someplace that was an old carriage road with the big trees leaning over it, especially if they are in bloom or changing colors, that’s always magical. And here’s my totally random one — novodevicby convent in Moscow. I’m sure I’ll never see it again but I really loved just walking through the grounds. So beautiful. |
Rio de Janeiro. I felt like I'd walked into a postcard |
Peyto Lake in the Canadian Rockies was gorgeous. |
