I completely agree. For some reason they have always done it this way. But there are two sections of math and two of verbal so it seems rather unfair to me. |
It helps but not as much as it used to. The fact that it’s unusual for your school might make it more likely to help. You could ask the school’s college counselor if they might mention the infrequency in their letter. Some colleges are sponsors of the scholarships. Usually they are small (like 2k/year), but some are larger (USC’s 50%.) I would imagine the schools that contribute to the awards are more likely to boost admissions odds, but that’s just a guess. |
