He pulled the plug maybe a year too early instead of a year too late, went out on top, and has moved onto spearheading Germany's Euro 2024 hosting and other projects. We didn't have to watch him fall to pieces and embarrass himself on the field. More players should do similar.

+1. I am an NFL fan and some years, I am in a fantasy league. The average playing time for most players in the league is 3.3 years. The odds of a CTE injury only increase each year you stay in. Players who retire/unretire are hard to root for. Maybe it is truly indecisiveness but it seems they just can't let go of the attention and adulation - they can't stand to be away from the limelight. It does take a big adjustment to retire and say coach your kids' team or be supportive while traveling with your kids for one fall and winter sports season. I admire Barry Sanders and Andrew Luck for leaving early and in their prime - they made a decision and stuck with it and left the game before it broke them, mentally and physically..

I don't understand all of the posters trying to make this about CTE. He's more likely to get a shoulder or arm injury. I would agree with you about the CTE if he was a lineman or a wide receiver for example, but an additional 1-2 years of playing QB, especially one that is as protected as he is on the field, is unlikely to affect his CTE risk.

I have never seen the appeal of Gisele. She has a manly face. However, I am sure being married to THE GOAT has it’s challenges. This is all probably for PR anyway. The season starts this week.

I watched Tom Brady, in person, in the playoff game last year. He’s not going to embarrass himself.

If Gisele is worth 400 million, what does she need to do?

Being the wife of an NFL player isn’t easy, but she signed up for it.

They have kids, and Tom Brady has missed half their childhoods in favor of football. The kids didn’t sign up for that. They didn’t get a choice.
