+1 to all of this. The weight loss wraps are the worst. I saw a photo of one of the It Works "conventions" a few years ago and the majority of the consultants were noticeably overweight.

I know a couple that makes around $700-$1M / yr selling MLM stuff.

I hate those and it's even more cringe when you see people tie their tragedy in....help me pay for my kid's surgery-come to my MLM. Just set up a go fund me or if we are close, I will donate directly to you so the website doesn't get anything. I don't want to buy junk, but would gladly help a friend in need.

Even worse is “come on, community, buy my crap and I’ll donate my (pittance of a) commission to someone else’s kid with cancer or buy my crap and I’ll “donate” stuff which YOU paid for to nursing homes for Christmas. I’ll use this to drive business and meet my “sales goals” (but don’t worry, I’m totes my own girlboss CEO) because I’m a disgraceful leech.

Hint: If you actually want to help and not exploit, set up a GFM or directly collect donations to help the family where they get 100% of the funds, not exploit it to drive more people to your pyramid scheme.
