Mia Hamm? She played at BRYC

I'm not seeing anything saying Mia Hamm is a product of BRYC. She played at Lake Braddock HS for one year and looks like lived most of her life in Texas moving around as an Air Force brat.

She played for the BRYC Shooting Stars. Firsthand knowledge.

And Jill Ellis, WMNT coach, played for the BRYC Bluebelles.

Nobody would bother to give him a real look from then on. Jimmy with the loud douche parents would be touted as the next Messi and Club star while young Christian languished in the ODSL. He probably would have quit the sport by 13 out of sheer frustration and the US would have lost one of their best players of all time

Fantastic. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Truth.

See the link below. I don't think BRYC would put it on their website if it was not true. I believe Julie Shackford, Hamm and Jill Ellis (USWNT coach) were all on the same team that won a USYS National Championship.

I think Carolyn Rice was involved in getting girls soccer going for BRYC ages ago. Cant think of anyone that pre-dated her that really brought girls soccer to the forefront in northern virginia.

Maybe Jac Cicala who coached at Mason for a long time?

I just read parts of this very long thread, and realize that i may be opening an issue, but figured I'd ask. We are in the process of relocating back to the area -- moving to Mantua -- and my youngest daughter (2004) is very, very, very into soccer. She's been with a great club & coach in Southern California for the last three years, but they haven't been able to provide much info on east coast soccer clubs. For parents of soccer girls the same age, if she gets offers from CCL, ECNL, and DA teams, which would you all recommend she take? We're hoping to have her spend time in May with some of the clubs I've seen talked about on this board -- BRYC, FCV, etc -- and I realize she may not get offers from everyone she sees. But as a parent of a child who, at least now, has pretty serious soccer aspirations, what would you do if a range of offers comes through?

BRYC is super close to Mantua and it is ECNL. Not sure there's a single downside there? CCL is far below.....

For the coming season DA rosters are pretty much filled up by now.

How many years? How is she a product of BRYC?
