Hotel Recommendation in Copenhagen

Anyone have a good hotel rec for Copenhagen? I'm looking on Trip Advisor and there are lots of options but hard to sort through all the choices. We can't afford Hotel D'Angleterre as its $1200/night when we will be there. Looking for more the $200-300 night level (we are going in December so rates appear to be quite reasonable). Anyone stayed in the hotel in Tivoli? The reviews all seem to be from people who were attending conferences, which isn't a good sign.

I stayed in The Square this summer. Great location; nicely furnished modern but very small rooms. Don't spend extra for a club room. The club amenities were extremely limited and did not include breakfast.

I stayed at the Marriott this summer. It wasn't all that exciting as a hotel -- it was a Marriott after all. We had a room on the water -- the Copenhagen Harbour Canal. There were people swimming in the canal! It was a beautiful view. If I had stayed longer, I might have chosen a different hotel.

Stayed at Scandic Palace right on the main square (Radhuspladsen) a few years ago on a work trip. Great location, rooms were comfortable, and seems to have reasonable prices.

We stayed at Best Western Hotel Hebron. Best Westerns in Europe are much nicer than those in the US. Especially love their locations and often older buildings remodeled. We stay there in June and it was a busy location - I don't know what December would be like.

We stayed at Bertram's Hotel Guldsmeden. Small boutique hotel very close to Tivoli and the train station. It was nice, though the wifi did not work in our room.
