FCPS Blackboard passwords reset?

Anyone's kid been able to log into blackboard? None of mine (MS and HS) can.
Have they reset the passwords and will they be issuing them at school? I vaguely recall some instructions to log into blackboard for bus schedules etc. so how are they supposed to do that if it doesn't work?

They should log in to Blackboard using the same user ID and password that they use to log into the school computers/network.

If this does not work, it is likely that they need to rest their network password (annual anniversary). If that's the case, you might need to call the school to obtain the necessary information.

My MSer and HSer used the network passwords from last school year and got in to Blackboard fine.

My child (MS) also couldn't log in. The teachers at his school seem pissed off by that fact, he said. Sometimes I hate this push for technology... Especially when the systems can't keep up with the needs of the students, teachers and parents!

PP, it is likely that it is the annual network password anniversary. If that's the case, your kid will need to log-on to a device in school to change it. Just have him shoot his teachers a quick email explaining the issue; they will very likely understand and will be impressed with his problem-solving and self-advocacy.

None of my kids (ES, MS, HS) could log into Blackboard until today because, apparently, all passwords were reset. There was no way we could figure out how to change it from home. They each had to talk to a teacher who had a universal (schoolwide?) password for each of them, which each child then reset to a personal one.

The main login page for blackboard states that as of August 15, student logins have all been reset to match their network logins. Make sure that is the password they are using.

What is a network login? My kids only know of one password that they use to log in to anything FCPS and it doesn't work.

My sophomore DD said all the passwords were reset today. She could log in to SIS but not Blackboard until today. She said she then had to manually changed her BB password to be the same as her SIS password.

The network login is the one that they use to log into computers. Their username is their student ID number and the password is something that the students set for themselves starting in grade 4.
