Ugh, this was a great book, but sooo sad. DH just told me about this yesterday. Will watch, but maybe while chopping onions.

Thanks for posting, but I'm already crying from the trailer. I never read the book, but might have to before the movie is out! Dogs are so special!! I just wish they could live longer

So along with Old Yeller, Sounder, Where the Red Fern Grows, Shiloh, Call of the Wild, and Lassie Come Home, I'm going to cry reading another wonderful but sad dog story. The Yearling affects me the same way. When I taught school, I read them all aloud to my 4th/5th grade students; and they loved them!
