Congressional Camps?

anyone have any opinions? am thinking of sending my kindergaretener to some congressional camps this summer. also, have you used the extended day option? any opinion on it? thanks!!

Have not sent my kids there but know both their Summer Director and Director of Extended Day have left this school year - so new directors for this summer. good luck.

I heard good things, and I know they have camp during the last weeks. No direct experiences.

Our oldest went to preschool and now attends the summer camps. He is six now. He really likes it. I think out of all the summer camps Congressional is his favorite.We have also done the extended care and that went well too. We will send the twins next year with their big brother. I think it is a bit pricey but honestly as much as he enjoys it I would not dare take it away from him. He has already asked which camps he is going to and wanted to make sure he was going to Congresssional.

I am the original OP. Thank you to all who have posted, esp. the 15:38 poster. My DD does not attend Congressional for kindergarten (she goes to public school in Arlington), but will just go for the summer camp and extended day this summer (for the first time). To the 15:38 poster - does/did your son attend Congressional during the normal school year (ie for KG or 1st grade)? If not, did he have any difficulty making new friends? Are there lots of non-Congressional kids at the camp? Thanks!!
